what we do

Our activities

Public health enlightenment programs

We host regular virtual health talks and webinars aimed at empowering health care professionals as well the general public with critical life-saving information and skills.

Medical outreaches

We deploy volunteer medical personnel and experts to see patients and offer free consultation and (where possible) treatment at ad hoc events and programs.

Advocacy

We engage with influential authority figures, decision and policy makers within the Health sector to stimulate much needed reforms and development.

Ongoing Projects

Gintavenes is in the process of advocating for the formal introduction of podiatry to the academic system in Nigeria at the tertiary level. A curriculum has already been developed (modelled in part on what obtains in the UK) and a faculty to deliver the instruction and training. Talks are being held with relevant stakeholders and regulatory authorities to structure deployment going forward.

Gintavenes also conducts biannual outreaches which involve flying in a team of seasoned podiatrists from the UK into Nigeria to host foot-clinics and see patients entirely free of charge. give practical training in basic foot care for health care practitioners people at risk of and those who currently live with diabetic foot.

The last one we held was a foot clinic in Lagos in October of 2022.

Our next intervention of this sort is slated for October of this year, but this time in Abuja (The Federal Capital Territory)
